The Gospel of Matthew

Tuesdays at 9 AM

"Ask and it shall be given to you; seek and you shall find; knock and the door shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8)

As we begin the school year and enter into the heart of fall, there are likely many things that we are seeking: a return to routine, a smooth start for each child as they get settled into their new classrooms, and perhaps a sale on the season's latest and greatest decor at HomeGoods! Among these familiar desires, we may also experience a call upon our heart, a knocking of sorts, that prompts us to take a pause from the busy time and rest. A whispering voice speaks, calling us to know Him in a deeper, more personal way, and discover the hope He brings for the life of the world.

Starting September 24th, St. Mary School Moms will have the chance to gather and go on this journey of discovery together by breaking open the Gospel of Matthew. This book we have likely heard read aloud countless times at Mass will now take on new meaning as we unearth its themes, make connections to our lives in the present moment, and encounter Christ as the central character of the apostolic author's story. Approachable, inspiring, and filled with beautiful photography (warm autumn colors, anyone?), this study, offered through Blessed is She, is sure to help you discover the beauty of reading and praying with Sacred Scripture.

Moms of all experience levels are welcome! Please do not fear if you have never cracked a Bible open or participated in a small group like this before. We are all desiring to come to know the Lord in a deeper way, and there is something He intends to reveal to each of us through this opportunity!
